Released Upon Inception is Danny Cudd’s second studio album and once again presents the sound of the Hang in a new and interesting way. With Danny’s first album, the Hang was fused with a variety of mainly melodic world instruments and with Released Upon Inception we see the same variety in the presentation of world percussion.
The eight-tracks are mostly instrumental and represent influences from many genres of electronic music. There are different melodies and rhythms that suggest trip-hop, down-tempo, avant-garde, experimental, alternative, new age, world fusion, and percussion music throughout. The multi-faceted songs are simplistic, but highly-textured and the final result is deeply satisfying.
